The First Piece (quest)
The First Piece is the first quest of the Broken Ghost quest line.
Loba and Revenant are not available for selection.
Loadout
Players start the hunt with the following loadout:
- Hammond P2020
- 1x Holosight
- Extended Light Magazine
- 2 stacks of Light rounds
- SA-3 Mozambique
- Shotgun Bolt
- 1x HCOG
- 2 stacks of Shotgun shells
- Body Shield
- Backpack
- 1 Syringe
- 1 Shield cell
- 1 Thermite Grenade
Objective
- Locate the artifact.
- Dig up the artifact.
- Retrieve the artifact.
- Get to the exfiltration site.
Walkthrough
Follow Loba's instructions to uncover the first artifact.
>Loba: This is the spot. Watch you back and follow your marker to find the first piece of the artifact.
Follow the markers through to the artillery tunnel. Prepare to engage prowlers.
>Loba: Proceed carefully. We aren't alone here.
Deploy the drill to extract the artifact. Remain cautious of prowlers pouncing from the flanks and rear.
>Loba: Remain vigilant the noise will likely attract the local wildlife, or worse.
The drilling noise will at attract more prowlers and shadow prowlers. Eliminate prowlers charging at the drill site.
>Loba: I warned you it get worse. Prowlers and shadows a marriage made in hell.
Pick up the artifact and head towards the exfiltration site.
>Loba: The extraction is complete. Get the artifact piece and let's go.
Get to the exfiltration site to escape before the timer runs out.
Rewards
- Gemini-XG Core
- Responsible for higher functions and memory. Etchings "XG" type, of which there are no records.
- Evidently one half in a rare Gemini configuration, it would have required a resonant twin core to function.
- Holds a complex crystal matrix at nanoscale. Any compromise of housing would instantly reduce said matrix to dust - unit is very tough on the outside, and gossamer on the inside. Casing appears intact.
