Cracked Talon
Cracked Talon is a Warband faction in Salvo and was founded by Margaret Kōhere and Walter Fitzroy while they were mercenaries.
Overview
Cracked Talon comprises of criminals and mercenaries who hold a nationalistic view and seek to unite Salvo and remove The Syndicate from Salvo reclaiming it.
History
Cracked Talon was formed following the success of Margaret "Mad Maggie" Kōhere and Walter "Fuse" Fitzroy's exploits as mercenaries on Salvo. Kōhere became one the strongest warlords of Salvo along with Fitzroy for many years before Sandringham Kelly signed a treaty with The Syndicate entering Salvo into Syndicate Space.
Mad Maggie watched the news live as it was reported that Salvo had officially entered Syndicate Space, at the same time Fuse had come to see Mad Maggie to let her know that he was leaving the Bonecage and leaving Salvo to become a Legend in the Apex Games. Enraged, Mad Maggie pulled the pin of the duos famed golden grenade and threw it at Fuse which severed his right arm which bore a Cracked Talon tattoo, seemingly unphased Fuse asked Mad Maggie to throw away his arm and called it a lost cause.
Salvo-Syndicate Merger Ceremony
To celebrate the annexation of Salvo the Syndicate held a ceremony in Kings Canyon on Solace and was presented by Salvo's very own, Fuse. Aboard the IMS Thermopylae Fuse welcomed the large audience which came to see him but as he did that Mad Maggie hacked the communications and weapons systems of the Thermopylae and told the Legends to bring her Fuze's other arm or say buh-bye to the Apex Games.
Fuse shrugged off Mad Maggie's threats and turned his attention back to the crowd mentioning that they came to see a show, Mad Maggie responded by activating the weapons on the Thermopylae and shooting at the civilians underneath the ship. Fuse hastily destroyed the weapons system but Mad Maggie had another card up her sleeve and detonated explosives which destroyed a portion of Kings Canyon, an unknown number of people were killed and injured.
Interference with the Apex Games
Following the Salvo-Syndicate Merger Ceremony the ring for the Apex Games began to behave eratically due to Cracked Talon interference on behalf of Mad Maggie.
Armageddon
Cracked Talon managed to capture Fuse, Ajay "Lifeline" Che, and Bloodhound when they were attempting to infiltrate their base, Mad Maggie gave Fuse one last chance to join her and leave the Apex Games to which was denied by Fuse who managed to escape with Lifeline and Bloodhound.
Fuse once again felt the need to speak with Mad Maggie and decided to steal a Syndicate Goblin to find her, on his way he was shot down by Mad Maggie. Fuse would go on to fight Mad Maggie where an explosion nearly knocked them both off of an edge, Fuse not wanting his long time friend to die offered her his hand which she refused and fell to her supposed death.
Capture and Trial of Mad Maggie
Unknown to Fuse, Mad Maggie had survived and was on the run from The Syndicate. At some point she was found by Zhou where they engaged in a Dogfight over Storm Point, Gaea which Zhou won and phased Mad Maggie to the floating city Olympus, Psamathe where she was finally arrested.
During the trial of Mad Maggie The Magistrate read out her charges which Mad Maggie responded it was all in the name of freedom, The Magistrate then called Mad Maggie's actions devastating, cowardly, and pointless causing Mad Maggie to retaliate by breaking her gold tooth and shooting it in the right eye of The Magistrate.
Mad Maggie was to be executed making The Magistrate comment that they haven't done one of these since the IMC ran things. Before she could be executed Torres Silva decided her punishment instead should be to participate in the Apex Games, making the leader of Cracked Talon a spectacle for The Outlands to watch and hate, empowering The Syndicate even more.
Under Syndicate Rule
With Salvo in Syndicate Space and Cracked Talon's leader in prison Cracked Talon fell on hard times with some members even being hired by The Syndicate to do their dark deeds. However small strong pockets of Cracked Talon exist one of which was run by Mouth, a loyal friend of Mad Maggie.
