Termination

Termination, often referred to as execution (not to be mixed with the Pilot melee move, Execution), is a special Titan melee attack in Titanfall. 200 Experience Points is awarded upon performing this on a piloted Titan. It can be performed on Doomed hostile Titans by meleeing from within 6.6675 meters and from an angle of 45 degrees in front of the titan. All terminations play a specific animation exclusive to each Titan chassis if the doomed titan is manned, if performed on an Auto-Titan, the animation will simply show your titan punching into the Titan, and then the Titan explodes.

Titanfall 2

Executions work in basically the same way in Titanfall 2. However, they are now conducted from a third-person standpoint, rather than the first-person view of the originals. The execution is also greatly simplified: simply performing a melee attack on an enemy Titan that's in the Doomed state will trigger a Termination.

Ion smashes the opposing Titan with its severed arm, causing it to kneel, then Ion thrusts its Splitter Rifle into the cockpit and shoots until the Titan is dead.	Death Stare	Ion wins a staring contest against her opponent. Laser shots the Titan, knocks down the Titan as it rushes for a punch, and fires the Laser Core into the open cockpit, vaporizing the Pilot if they are inside.
Scorch	Incineration	Melt a staggered enemy Titan. Punches the Titan, kicks it and then burns the cockpit with his Flame Shield.	Unleashed Fury	Slam the ground, unleashing concentrated Flame Core. Punches the Titan twice, knocking it to the ground before finishing it with the Flame Core.
Northstar	Sweep the Leg	Put an enemy Titan on their back. Trips the Titan, and jumps high in the air, and lowers back down, inserting her gun in the cockpit, then firing a fully charged shot.	Bird of Prey	Swoop down and disable your opponent. Quickly uses her gun to smack the Titan's weapon from their hands, jumps onto the Titan, rips its arms off, and then Flight Cores it for a few rounds, then lands on it, shattering it.
Ronin	Cutting Steel	Slice through an enemy Titan. Slashes the Titan twice with its Broadsword, and then impales the cockpit with it.	Thunder and Lightning	Strike rapidly before using Arc Wave. Ronin kicks the enemy Titan, electrifies his Broadsword, then slashes six times before finishing with an Arc Wave.
Tone	Gooser	Rip the enemy Pilot out of their cockpit. Jumps onto the Titan, pulls the Pilot out and throws it, then shoots it out of the air. However if there is no pilot, the execution animation will end without any further actions after he digs into the cockpit.	Target Acquired	Lock onto the enemy before firing your Tracker Rockets. Tone shoots the Titan once with her 40mm Tracker Cannon, sticks it into the cockpit and shoots twice, then flips the enemy titan over her head and finishes it off with a payload of Tracker Rockets.
Legion	Predator and Prey	Lift an opposing Titan above your head Lifts the Titan into the air with its Predator Cannon and fires away until it blows out the other side, impaling the Titan on the gun.	Overpower	Knock back an enemy Titan before destroying them with Power Shot. Smashes the Titan in the hull, then the legs, making it kneel using the Predator Cannon, then Power Shots it point-blank.
Monarch	Checkmate	Break into the enemy cockpit before crushing the Pilot. Rips the enemy Pilot out of the cockpit and crushes the Pilot, then finishes the Titan off with a kick. If there's no Pilot, Monarch will look at her empty hand in confusion for a moment before kicking the enemy Titan down.	Energy Thief Kit	Description
			Energy Thief	(Not to be confused with the Monarch Kit, which enables this execution to be used) Monarch pulls open the enemy Titan's cockpit and her Pilot disembarks. Monarch's Pilot kicks the escaping enemy Pilot back into the cockpit before climbing on top of the enemy Titan. Monarch slaps the enemy Titan's hatch down on the enemy Pilot as they try to get out, killing the Pilot from the impact. Monarch's Pilot pulls a Battery out of the enemy Titan before jumping back into Monarchs still-open cockpit, installing the Battery. Monarch then kicks the enemy titan over, as her Pilot is mid-air holding the Battery.

In addition, several of the Apex Predator boss fights in the campaign have unique execution animations that can be perfomed by BT-7274.

Character	Execution
Ash	BT rips Ash out of her Titan, crushes her in his fist, and kicks the Titan over. This was later used for the "Checkmate" Termination for the Monarch-class Titan, and may be used by friendly Vanguard Titans in Trial By Fire. Also, if close enough to a wall, BT instead slams Ash against the wall, crushing her.
Richter	BT flips Richter's Titan on its back, then Salvo Cores him at point-blank range. This Termination was also used by Lastimosa on an IMC Tone Titan at the start of the campaign
Slone	BT kicks Slone's Titan in the chest, before unleashing all of his missiles and the XO16A2 Chaingun into her. Interestingly, this Termination was used earlier by Lastimosa against the Apex Predators, before he was overwhelmed.

Trivia

• You can still use your Titan's Ordnance and Tactical Ability while being Terminated in Titanfall.
• During the Titan Execution animations in Titanfall 2, both executor and executed are invulnerable to any and all damage while the execution animation plays.
  • You, however, can die from "Fall" where the hitbox for the out-of-bounds death trigger (most likely the cockpit) clips out of the map during the animation, this can happen with Northstar's Terminations in particular.
• In the Termination Target Acquired, the shots from the 40mm Tracker Cannon are actual shots, and can tag nearby enemy Titans and Reapers.
• If the player being Terminated leaves the game whilst Ion is firing her laser during Death Stare, the player will return to the cockpit firing the Laser Core, even when the Core Meter is not full.
• Northstar can terminate a fellow Northstar in the air, and the animation will play out floating.
• Interestingly, BT's Termination on Slone during the campaign was used earlier by Lastimosa against the Apex Predators, before he was overwhelmed. Upon further examination, the Titan being Terminated by Lastimosa bore the coloring of Slone's Ion. Whether this is an oversight, or Slone survived and was able to repair her Titan, is unknown.
