Nathaniel Phua
Nathaniel Phua is the son of August "Ballistic" Brinkman, and had signed up for the Apex Games and was accepted, before his father quickly took his place, much to his fury.
Biography
Nathaniel Phua is the son of August, who used to be famous as Ballistic, the champion of the Thunderdome Games. However, when August caused the death of Kit Siang Phua due to his reckless behavior in combat, he began to isolate himself for twenty years from his wife Sok Leng Phua and son. Nathaniel looked up to his father and wanted to become a professional Bloodsport competitor just like him.
Nathaniel became qualified for the Apex Games, but his father was determined to prevent him from traveling down the same destructive path. August convinced The Syndicate to allow him to replace Nathaniel in the competition. As a result, Ballistic, August's old alias, took Nathaniel's place in the Apex Games.
Ballistic stormed The Syndicate facility and insisted on participating in the games instead of Nathaniel, threatening Torres Silva to regain complete control over his interests. Silva permitted Brinkman to join the competition in response to this threat and the chance to increase ratings.
After Nathaniel was disqualified, he publicly confronted Brinkman during a media event and destroyed a Phantom model left behind by his father as a way of expressing his hatred towards him.
