Energy Transfer is an upgrade available for the Monarch Titan, via Tier 1 of the Upgrade Core. When picked, it allows the Energy Siphon to function as a sort-of medic, where shooting allied Titans will provide them with a shield.

Strategy

A rarity among Titans, Monarch is capable of filling a support role if she has Energy Transfer assigned as her level one Upgrade Core. While the amount of shield that's given is very small, the fact that it is the only ability in the game to give Titans extra health can be very effective in Titan-centric gamemodes like Last Titan Standing. It should always be used with the Rapid Rearm kit for more shielding.

Energy Field, available at Tier 2, will turn the Siphon into an Area-of-Effect (AOE) weapon, letting you grant shields to multiple teammates. However, the amount of shield given is still very low, so reaching the second core upgrade just to make this ability marginally better is probably not worth it.

Energy Field will grant extra shield per target hit. It treats every entity hit individually. It's bad because the AoE is too situational to beat out the consistent damage buff the other two options grant.

However, given that Arc Rounds are so incredibly powerful, this core upgrade is more of a meme than a serious pick.
