Maelstrom is an upgrade available for the Monarch Titan, via Tier 2 of the Upgrade Core. When picked, it upgrades the Electric Smoke to deal triple the damage of normal to Titans, and double the damage to pilots. Since the Monarch will already have 3 Electric Smokes from the other upgrades, you will be able to deploy many of them at once. Electric Smoke will make a different sound that sounds like vigorous sizzling. Maelstrom is incredibly lethal to pilots and any caught rodeoing your titan are often caught off guard and killed.
