Defiance
Defiance is the twelfth season of Apex Legends. It featured new Legend, Mad Maggie, a major map update to Olympus, a new limited-time gamemode, Control, and an all-new Battle Pass.

For the first split, the playable map for ranked was Olympus, and for the second split was Kings Canyon.
Overview
A new legend named Mad Maggie is introduced, an old friend of Fuse, responsible for Season 8's map destruction and briefly took over the Apex Games. The season begins with a three-week period of a limited time mode named "Control", a 9v9 mode where players hold control points. Olympus is the map that will also get an update. The season also arrives during the third anniversary, where players can obtain special packs based on various legends.
