Cherisse Che is an influential war profiteer, wife of Chevrex CEO Darion Che, and mother of Ajay "Lifeline" Che.
Biography
Background
Cherisse Che is an influential figure who possesses considerable wealth and has affiliations with the Syndicate. Alongside her spouse, Darion Che, they hold ownership of Chevrex Inc., a prominent military robotics corporation. Engaged in profiting from conflicts such as the Frontier War and potentially the Outlands Civil War, they project an image of kindness and affection in public but, in reality, exhibit an unfeeling and harsh disposition. Even their sole daughter, Ajay, who discovered their involvement in war profiteering and was appalled, chose to distance herself from her parents by leaving home.
Family Business
In the year 2729, Ajay and Octavio Silva devised a plan to infiltrate a Silva Pharmaceuticals facility but their actions were captured on security cameras and drones, leading to their discovery. Eduardo Silva, upon learning about the incident, informed Che of the situation.
Silva and Che managed to locate Ajay and Octavio at a field hospital operated by the Frontier Corps. Their intention was to execute all the patients at the hospital as a means of teaching their children a lesson about their disobedience. However, their plans were disrupted when Octavio initiated a livestream, drawing attention to the situation. Faced with potential public exposure, both Che and Silva decided to retreat in order to protect their reputations.
Family Portrait
Following a visit to Salvo to meet Sandringham Kelly, Cherisse and Darion Che organized a charitable event in Malta, primarily for appearances rather than genuine philanthropic motives. When Ajay confronted her parents during the event, they feigned a joyful family reunion, but their reunion was unexpectedly disrupted by a terrorist named Creighton Sawtelle. The assailant demanded that the Ches convey his ultimatum to surrender Psamathe to the Mercenary Syndicate. Ajay, alongside other Legends, fought back against the attack. Eventually, Darion presented Ajay with the sought-after antique MRVN battery she had been searching for.
Season 12
When Eduardo Silva was elected head of the Syndicate, he appointed Cherisse as President of the Syndicate Corps, formerly the Frontier Corps.
