Doctor Jefferson Boyle was an archaeologist working on the Fold Weapon. He was trapped inside the ARES Division bunker he was working in after the commencement of the Fold Weapon test. Shortly after the test, he found an IMC survival kit with rations to survive several days - however, these supplies evidently ran out, with Boyle eventually forced to try and eat Prowler specimens. Eventually, he found an opening with a climb to the surface of around one hundred metres; fearing the worst, he uploaded five Audio Logs to the IMC network. Whether he got out of the facility or not is unknown, but he wasn't able to get off Typhon before it exploded.
Some time later, Jack Cooper would come across his audio logs in the mission Effect and Cause.
