The 9th Militia Fleet was a group of Frontier Militia ships sent to investigate the planet Typhon. It is known to have included the MCS James MacAllan and the MCS Carter Braxton (which was destroyed during the chase for the Ark) along with a number of other ships.

History

Operation: Broadsword

When approaching Typhon, the fleet encountered extremely heavy anti-orbital defences that decimated the ships. Pockets of survivors were able to band together and stand against the IMC; most notably Captain Cole and his squad along with Jack Cooper and BT-7274.

Contact with either the remainder of the 9th Militia Fleet or another battlegroup altogether was eventually re-established when Jack Cooper and BT-7274 activated an IMC Interstellar Beacon to call for help.

Following the destruction of Typhon, the survivors of the 9th Militia Fleet returned to Harmony.
