The Counterweight is a weapon mod in Titanfall for the C.A.R. SMG. The mod reduces recoil and makes hipfire more accurate by keeping the crosshairs the same size.
This locks the C.A.R.'s hipfire spread at 3.5, which means that gunfire when standing still and gunfire when walking now have the same negative recoil. However, hipfire spread will not be reduced when crouching. This can be paired up with the Run N Gun Kit, allowing accurate shooting while running.
