Sergeant Babb was a Sergeant in the 9th Militia Fleet who participated in Operation: Broadsword. He and his fellow Militia Riflemen would try and fend off newly developed mechanized infantry called Stalkers while in an IMC reclamation facility located on Typhon. They were successful in repelling the enemy but suffered severe casualties.

BT-7274 and Pilot Jack Cooper later found Sergeant Babb after receiving his distress message. Jack Cooper went on to help Babb's other soldiers by killing the remaining IMC Grunts and Stalkers.
