Distortion Braking

Distortion braking technology is a technology used by drop pods in the Titanfall universe. It allows rapid deployment of many things ranging from supplies to infantry. It causes the drop pod to slow down very quickly to reduce shock and confusion in the occupants, and keep the payload in one piece but still have enough power to slam into the ground and stay secure, so that the payload can be deployed.
