Colonel Griggs is an officer in the IMC, presumably the Marine Corps. He was quoted in an advertisement used by Hammond Robotics to promote the MRVN Automated Assistants in their Corporate headquarters, and in the ARES Division Complex used to test the Fold Weapon.
